The
Order of Corpus Christi
is governed by the superiors, the consistory, and the annual
synod of the members of the Order.
The superiors
are the Abbot, Prior, Chancellor, and the Provincial.
The Abbot is elected by ecclesiastical ballot and serves for
an unspecified term. The Abbot serves as
the Spiritual Leader and Chief Shepherd for the Order.
The Right Rev'd. Richard
Hammond Price, OCC
served as the Prior from 1997 to 2003 and was elevated to Abbot in
2003.
The
Prior serves as the Overseer of Novice Masters and Spiritual
Formation Process for Novices.
The Very Rev'd. Mark
Lukens
is the current Prior.
The Superiors of the Order of Corpus Christi

The
Provincial is
the Assistant to
the Abbot and Administrator
for
the Order. The Very Rev'd. David
A. Williams
is the current Provincial.
The
Chancellor is
the Keeper of
the Finances and Scribe to the
Consistory.
Br. Joseph
Hedden
currently serves
as Chancellor.
The Prior, Provincial, and Chancellor also serve on the consistory. Each is elected for a 3-year term
and can be reelected for one additional
3-year term.
The Consistory
is the Governing and
Deliberative Body for the Good of the Order. It is a body of
thirteen
(13) decision-makers, the four Superiors and nine (9) at-large
members of the Order. The Abbot serves as presider of the
consistory.
Members-at-Large
are elected to one 3-year term and can be reelected for on
additional 3-year term. Each year three (3) at-large members are
elected.
The whole order
gathers annually for the retreat and annual synod in the spring.

Discussion,
deliberation, and refreshment are plentiful as the Order convenes
for the annual retreat and synod.
